Earlier today as I was going through my freezer I asked myself the question, “Why don’t more people do this?”
What I meant by that, was why don’t more people stock their freezers with delicious frozen foods that are easily accessible and that can be prepared within minutes. Having tons of frozen foods around makes eating healthy incredibly easy.
With that said, I want to give you a list of four foods you should always have on stock in your freezer. This makes eating healthy simple and quick as all you need to do is pop this stuff in the microwave or oven! Take a look at the list below and add some of you own in the comments section below:
Frozen Vegetables: This is an ALWAYS in the household. Frozen veggies are convenient, cheap, and delicious. As Michael Scott says, its a “win, win, win. We all win.”
Fish: Try sticking to wild fish as the omega 3 and omega 6 balance is far better in wild fish than in farmed fish.
Grass Fed Meats: Grass fed meats have been show to have far better fat burning and muscle building properties than the regular grain fed meats sold at super markets. If your gonna eat beef, try to stick with grass fed!
Chicken Breasts: I like having frozen chicken on hand just as a back up. I buy fresh chicken for the week but there are times when more is needed. This is when it is very handy to have some frozen chicken breasts on hand to whip up a quick meal.
There you have it, the list of foods that my freezer is constantly stocked with. Short, sweet, and results driven. I love having these foods on hand as I never have to worry about what I am going to eat. If I don’t have something fresh in the refrigerator to eat, I always know I have something delicious in the freezer waiting for me.
What other items would you add to the list?
