10 Simple Solutions To A Great 2013

2013: Your best year yet!

I cannot believe that 2013 is already upon us. 2012 was an incredible year and I cannot wait to see what 2013 has in store. What I love about a new year is everyone seems to go into it with energy, enthusiasm, determination to change, and the passion to better their life. What is tough about a new year and resolutions is when all that energy and enthusiasm wears off…

In order to help you make 2013 your best year ever, I have put together a list of 10 solutions to help better your health and life! Take a look:

1. Eliminate processed and fast food (the majority of the time.)

If you focus on eating real, whole, and natural foods for the majority of your meals you will feel better, look better, and be overall more healthy. Below are a few articles to help you get started:

2. Break a sweat daily.

This does not mean to workout everyday but it challenges you to be more active. Simply working out three times a week, for 30 minutes a session is a great place to start.

Action Plan

New Years resolutions are always easier said than done. People tend to stay strong for 4-6 weeks before allowing their resolutions to slowly fade out. NOT THIS YEAR!

Stay determined, stay motivated, and keep yourself on track by applying the three simple steps below:

1. Have a plan and track it daily.

Having a plan gives you an outline on how you will achieve your resolutions. Tracking it daily will hold you accountable and ensure you stay on pace.

2. Find a partner and tell everyone.

A partner is great for keeping you motivated while telling others will hold you accountable. Make you resolutions know publicly on Facebook, Twitter, at your office, etc.

3. Don’t give in, find perseverance.

When the going gets tough, you need to get tougher! Don’t ever give up. Follow through on what you want to accomplish!

2013 is going to be your best year yet! I cannot wait to hear all about your successes and accomplishments…

  1. […] The New Year is well under way and I am seeing more and more new faces at the gym. This is one of my favorite times of year because everyone is so focused on changing their health and getting fit. I love the energy and enthusiasm that people bring into their workouts and to the gym each day. Unfortunately, in about a month we will start to see a huge drop off as people start to quit their new years resolutions. […]
